Manchester United have joined the race to sign South America’s brightest star, Juan Manuel Iturbe.
He may not be a household name… yet. However, several top European clubs have already been linked with a move for the talented Argentine forward, with more and more scouting teams being dispatched to check on his progress every week.
Real Madrid and Napoli were apparently the first to be alerted to the 17-year-old, yet Alex Ferguson has now thrown his hat into the ring, although the United boss will not make any attempt to sign Iturbe until the end of the season.
The forward’s blistering pace and ball control have seen him dubbed the “New Messi”, and by the time United and Real are ready to pounce in June, a great many more clubs are expected to be in contention for his signature.
It could turn out to be the most exciting transfer saga of the summer!
