Mundo Deportivo have a simply sensational claim for us here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they note that Real Madrid could well be bracing themselves for a double swoop on their star players from Manchester United.
David Moyes has got off to a flying start as manager of Manchester United but has not made any impact in the transfer window thus far and now looks set to make a double swoop on Spanish side Real Madrid. Both Kaka and Mesut Ozil are unsure over their futures after the mass arrivals in the summer, especially in the middle of the park.
After spending a significant proportion of pre season in his unfavoured position out wide on the right, Ozil is prepared to consider his future and wants assurances that the likes of Isco and Asier Illarramendi will not push him out of the starting eleven – especially in World Cup year.
Kaka as we all know has been a massive flop since arriving at the Bernabeu and has never really lived up to his price tag or indeed reputation as former world player of the year. Despite new manager Carlo Ancelotti being the man that got the best out of the midfielder during his time at AC Milan, Ancelotti is prepared to let the player go should the right offer come in.
It would take a significant amount to prize Ozil away from Los Blancos, yet Kaka could be available for significantly less. Moyes is considering offering £55 million for the pair – yet Florentino Perez would demand significantly more than that.
