Manchester United are said to be lining up a fascinating summer bid for Rayo Vallecano’s Guinean striker Alhassane Bangoura, reports TuttomercatoWeb.
19-year-old Bangoura has only broken in to the Vallecano first team this season following a spell in the club’s junior ranks for whom he scored 23 goals in just 25 games.
Although the player has previously intimated that his dream is to play for Real Madrid a move to Old Trafford would no doubt suffice.
“Of that case I cannot speak. I am a Rayo player, I have signed a professional contract for the next four years and I play with the team of Vallecano. If Madrid want me they must negotiate with my club. But of course for me it would be a dream to play in the Blanco team, because I want to continue to grow and become a better player.”
But then anyone who takes a footballer’s ‘word’ is a fool.
He has made 17 appearances for the first team this season scoring three goals, including a brace in the side’s 5-3 away win at Levante in February.
Rayo currently occupy a mid-table position in La Liga. Bangoura made his international debut in 2011 and appeared for Guinea in their first match in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
