Further fuelling speculation that Manchester United are in financial crisis, The Sun are reporting that United owner Malcolm Glazer has sold his Palm Beach mansion in an effort to raise some cash.
Last week when United pulled out of a deal to sign Serbian starlet Adem Ljajic Partizan Belgrade chairman Dragan Djuric claimed it was due to financial problems at Old Trafford and Bayern Munich claimed that when they told Ribery was going for £60m in the summer United went quiet on the deal.
Chief Executive of the Manchester United Supporters Trust Duncan Drasdo is worried by the situation and said,
“With our revenues we should be competing for players of the calibre of Messi and Kaka.
“Instead we have to carry the deadweight of the Glazers’ ownership.”
