The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting quite excited about the prospect of the summer transfer window.
It has been a very good season for the Reds, with Jurgen Klopp’s men clearly improving with every passing game.
This summer, though, with the summer transfer window set to open in the coming weeks, there is the prospect of Liverpool getting even better.
It’s hard to imagine, but there’s even a chance that their attack could get better. It’s arguably the strongest facet of their team, but according to French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, Liverpool have held very positive talks regarding a move for Ligue 1 star Nabil Fekir.
An attacking midfielder by trade, Fekir – who is rated at £45 million by Transfer Markt – has been on an incredible run of form this season, and seemingly the Reds would like to bring that to Anfield.
Our landlord has suggested that the arrival of Fekir would turn Liverpool’s attack into the best in the Premier League, and in truth, it’s tough to disagree. No other team would possess the raw pace, power and technique that the Reds would have.
Take a look at what their attack would be like below, and let us know if you agree with us in the comments…
LW – Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane has been in fantastic form this season.
Impressing with his brilliant pace, technique and goalscoring record, the Senegalese attacker is a real force to be reckoned with in the English top flight.
With 10 goals and 7 assists this season, there aren’t many better than him, and he’d only get better alongside the creative genius that is Nabil Fekir.
CAM – Nabil Fekir
What a season Nabil Fekir has had.
Able to play across the attack, the midfielder would perhaps be well served by a role through the middle.
He has incredible technical ability and a fantastic eye for a pass, and so for the Reds, he would be the perfect addition.
He’s scored 17 goals this season, alongside 6 assists.
RW – Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah has been the star of the show at Anfield this season.
He has come in and shocked the world with his dazzling performances, and he’s now clearly amongst the best players in Europe.
The Egyptian is likely to only get better next season, and so it will be interesting to see how much he improves – especially alongside a player of Fekir’s quality.
ST – Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino isn’t the most prolific member of this attack, but you could argue that he is the most important.
The way he links up play and brings Liverpool together cannot be undervalued.
Still, with 15 league goals, he’s still more efficient than most in the English top flight, and Liverpool are very lucky to have a player of his quality.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
