Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their excitement levels dashed ahead of the summer, as it’s stated that reports of an agreement being secured are premature.
The Lilywhites enjoyed a great weekend as Mauricio Pochettino’s side received a huge boost in the title race following Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea, which left Spurs just four point behind, and they’ll be high on confidence heading into this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final.
With another season of Champions League football set to be secured, and Spurs set to finish above their arch-rivals Arsenal for the first-time in two decades, the club will be confident of their ability to secure major signings this summer.
However, Goal has published a statement from Turkish side Galatasaray which denies the club have agreed a £12.5m deal to sell Dutch U21 international Bruma to the Premier League side, following reports from Turkish outlet Sabah.
“In this news that is not really interesting, there is no official offer to reach us, just as there is no secret agreement for the price [with] the club that has been named [Tottenham].”
Bruma’s services are highly-coveted ahead of the summer transfer window, as the former Sporting Lisbon man has impressed with eight goals and six assists this season.
However, our landlord expects him to be on the move this summer as his contract with Galatasaray is set to enter it’s final year.
