The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club-captain and number one, Hugo Lloris as he claimed the club need to fight. Speaking in an interview for the Tottenham Hotspur website, France’s national captain has said that you go through spells where things don’t go your way, but you’ve got to carry on fighting.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper has been at Tottenham since signing from Lyon back in 2012 and he became the 61st player in the club’s history to play 250 games for the club in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Brighton. Lloris will be looking to put the draw on the south coast to the back of his mind as he prepares for the club’s most important game of the season so far against Manchester United tomorrow at Wembley.
Hugo and co will be hoping to avoid a repeat of last year’s FA Cup semi-final where Mauricio Pochettino’s side were undone by Chelsea, losing 4-2 to the Premier League champions after dominating for much of the game. The FA Cup presents itself as Spurs’ last chance to end the season with silverware. The Premier League was wrapped up last weekend, although in reality, it had been over for months, the League Cup was won in February and Juventus knocked Spurs out of the Champions League. An FA Cup win, coupled with a top-four finish, would make this season an unbelievably successful season for Tottenham, who’ll be eagerly awaiting kick-off tomorrow.
You can read our local Lilywhites’ verdict on Lloris’ comments here:
Hugo’s made a huge difference over the years. We wouldn’t be where we are without him. Don’t forget that! Everyone faces times when things don’t seem to go right, but a keeper is in the spotlight. It’s hard to imagine just how tough that is. Keep going Hugo!

We need to see some of this fight he is talking about from the players, watching your team lose is normal whomever you support, watching your team play with no heart and no fight for us is heartbreaking. #ShowSomeFight
