After a solid end to the season, there is plenty of excitement and optimism around Goodison Park right now.
Marco Silva finally seems to have got across his message to this talented Everton team and a late flurry of excellent performances have left many believing that the Toffees are ripe for European contention once again.
Ultimately, their progressions rests on one thing — the transfer window.
Who they bring in and who they sell, like every other team, will truly determine where they finish next season.
And whilst Everton have a very capable squad already, there are positions in the team that could be improved upon, one being central midfield.
If rumours (per the Daily Mail earlier this week) are to be believed, the Toffees are very interested in Spaniard Victor Camarasa this summer and what fantastic business that could transpire to be.
Camarasa (who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt) was without a doubt one of Cardiff City’s better players this term, despite their unfortunate relegation straight back down into the Championship.
The 24-year-old joined the Bluebirds and the Premier League relatively unknown but in 32 appearances, he made a lasting impression.
With five goals and four assists, the box-to-box midfielder was a helping hand in every aspect for Cardiff, though he alone couldn’t steer them away from relegation.
The difficulty for Everton will be luring him back to the Premier League. His performances did not go unnoticed elsewhere and currently there are a whole host of teams also very interested in his signature.
If Silva gets his way though, the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies could pave way for a far better, all-rounded central midfielder.
