Tottenham Hotspur ripped Huddersfield Town to shreds on Saturday as they took a giant leap towards securing a top four spot, with their attention now turning towards Manchester City.
Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders since Spurs moved into the new White Hart Lane as they’re currently unbeaten at home and they don’t look like slowing down any time soon.
And, much to the delight of supporters, it appears as if Mauricio Pochettino has now found the perfect replacement for Mousa Dembele in the form of a player who’s already at the club.
Victor Wanyama could be the perfect replacement for the Belgium international as he showed exactly what he’s capable of last time out against Huddersfield Town as he danced past their defenders to open the scoring.
He has the passing ability and vision to control things in the middle of midfield and he’s a nuisance in the defensive third as he adopts a dogged approach and can often be very overpowering.
It’s clear to see that Spurs fans already love the Kenyan international and will no doubt be looking forward to seeing more of him on the field from here on in until the end of the season, with two big tests against Manchester City providing him with the perfect opportunity to show everyone exactly what he can do.
Indeed, he could save the club and awful lot of money which would definitely please Daniel Levy as he’s been afraid to spend in recent transfer windows gone by.
Tottenham Hotspur fans, do you think Wanyama is good enough to be Dembele’s replacement? Join the discussion by commenting down below!
