One annoying trait in modern football is the consistently changing kits across the Premier League which means loyal fans have to fork out money every season to represent their stars. However the kit launches are normally boring affairs where the kit is revealed in certain poses.
Chelsea, however, appear to have missed the memo and have taken a rather novel approach to promoting their new 2013/14 home kit.
In association with kit manufacturing Adidas a number of high profile Chelsea players are drenched in blue body paint in what resembles a scene from James Cameron’s blockbuster smash-hit Avatar.
The players are photographed in a variety of different poses in an attempt to demonstrate to fans that they are the true Blues. The ‘It’s Blue, What Else Matters’ campaign does seem to miss out an important part of a kit launch. The actual kit! Although we guess that’s kinda the point…
