The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t sure what to make of reports regarding the future of Alexis Sanchez…
According to the Mirror, Bayern Munich have dropped out of the race for him, with the club Chilean reportedly demanding over £50 million for his signature, and whilst Man City are keen – the Gunners are hesitant to sell to a Premier League rival.
Indeed, it is rather murky and confusing situation, and one that Arsenal Fan TV host Robbie has had his say on recently. Discussing the report as part of the AFTV Transfer Daily series – which can be seen above – Robbie questions whether Arsenal really will be able to get that much money for him. The Chilean’s contract, of course, expires next summer – and so spending £50 million just to get a player a year earlier doesn’t make much sense in the grand scheme of things.
He also makes another good point – it could boil down to Sanchez’s personal feelings. If he wants to leave, will the club really stand in his way and risk upsetting the squad?
At this point, there are more questions than answers regarding the Alexis Sanchez situation – and our landlord thinks that the club need to work out what’s happening.
Arsenal fans – thoughts?
