Aston Villa

Villa and Norwich City fighting for signature of £12m established striker

mccormakThe Fulham fans who are gathered in the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking their star striker with a move away from the club.

The Telegraph is reporting that both Aston Villa and Norwich City are both ready to trigger Ross McCormack’s £12 million buyout clause to bring him to their respective clubs this summer.

With Aston Villa already relegated and Norwich all but down, both clubs are looking at the Scottish international to fire the goals that would earn them an immediate return to the Premier League come this time next season.

McCormack has been one player for Fulham who has carried on his rich vain of form in front of goal despite the London club’s struggles in the Championship this season.

The striker has managed 23 goals and more or else scored the goals that ensured the club are still a Championship side next term.

Our landlord feels that McCormack is just the type of striker both clubs will need if they are intent on achieving promotion at the end of next season.

As for the Fulham fans in The Tavern they have given up all hope of McCormack staying at the club beyond the summer.

Would McCormack be able to fire either of this pair back into the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below!
