This summer has seen plenty of business from the Premier League, however, none of that has come from Spurs who are still waiting for their first arrival of the window. The club has been in talks with Jack Grealish for what feels like months and now it looks like that deal could be doomed as The Mirror reports that the new Aston Villa owners will block the move for the 22-year-old.

Grealish bagged himself three goals and five assists in 27 appearances in the Championship last season and really impressed a lot of fans towards the end of the season. Despite Grealish’s career revival, he was unable to help his boyhood club gain promotion via the playoffs as they lost 1-0 to Fulham at Wembley. Now, he could be set to leave Villa Park for a shot back in the Premier League wth Spurs.
No one will know whether or not this is a deal that will go through or not until the end of the transfer window in just under two weeks time. Whether or not Grealish ends the window at Spurs won’t be an issue as long as Tottenham can get some of their other transfer targets in, however, with time seemingly running out for Daniel Levy he could be leaving a lot of Tottenham fans very angry going into the new season.

So basically we’re not signing anyone and we’re selling Alderweireld to United for cash so Levy/Lewis can get a new yacht. Safe.

Just from the tweets above it’s clear that the fans are getting irate with their business and will be looking forward to the day when they finally announce a new player.
