Tottenham Hotspur will have their eyes set firmly on securing a top four place and might even challenge for the Premier League title.
Spurs didn’t manage to bring any players in this summer but this hasn’t shown so far this season as they continue to assert their dominance on proceedings. Although, they did suffer a setback in terms of a potential departure, as according to Sun Sport, Tottenham’s plans to offload Vincent Janssen have been hit by injury.
Mauricio Pochettino’s hopes of offloading Vincent Janssen have been hit by injury.
The Spurs boss was looking to get rid of the Dutchman before the European transfer window ends.
But, the 24-year-old has aggravated a problem that could see him out until Christmas.
And, his fitness hell is set to mean he stays at Spurs until the January window instead of leading Pochettino’s summer clearout.
Vincent Janssen didn’t exactly enjoy the best of times at the club as he was shipped out on loan after a disastrous first campaign in North London. And, with no signs of improvements, it was now time for the forward to depart for another European club.
Although, supporters won’t be too happy that the Dutch striker has suffered an injury and has fitness concerns as the London club would have cashed in on him before the end of the month.
