Tottenham Hotspur have surprised many after such a disappointing summer transfer window, with the Premier League title still in sight.
The Lilywhites have been one of the form teams in the Premier League in the current campaign, despite losing against Watford prior to the international break.
However, things haven’t been perfect for Spurs in the current campaign as a couple of players have looked sluggish at times and are yet to really impress the manager. Indeed, Mauricio Pochettino would have been hoping for better from some of his senior players, but things just haven’t worked out so far.
With that in mind, these TWO Tottenham Hotspur players have already let Pochettino down…
The Dutchman has found it impossible to nail down a permanent place in the side with Hugo Lloris making the No 1 jersey his own in seasons gone by.
However, the goalkeeper was called upon in Lloris’ absence against Watford last time out, but he couldn’t repay the manager as he ended up letting in two goals and making a couple of mistakes along the way.
The Belgian was linked with a move away over the course of the summer transfer window as his future in North London was surrounded with major doubts.
Although, the London club did manage to hold onto the central midfielder and he has been a regular feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season. But, he was arguably the worst performer on the field against the Hornets last time out and is yet to live up to expectations, so the Argentine will definitely be disappointed.
