As Croat Adrian Chiles takes his final bow this week on BBC’s The One Show, one person who will most likely shed a tear is his co-presenter Christine Bleakley. But I wouldn’t expect those tears to last too long. Not when the lovely Christine is courting £130,000 a week Chelsea star Frank Lampard.
The 31 yr old from County Down Northern Ireland has been seen on our TV’s presenting The One Show since 2007 having replaced the equally delightful Myleene Klass. Her relationship with Frank Lampard has been blossoming since the two were introduced by Piers Morgan, who drops more names than has had meals I might add, at the Pride of Britain awards in October. The pair had attempted to keep their kindled romance under wraps yet numerous photographs of the two together were seen. Recently the pair has decided to step out a bit more with Christine celebrating a bit too wildly upon Frankie boy scoring for Chelsea in the 7-0 thrashing of Stoke City this weekend.
Christine started her career as a runner at BBC Northern Ireland and steadily moved up through the ranks before being given presenting and news reading assignments prior to landing a job fronting BBC’s talent show Let me Entertain you. This in hand led to Christine being offered a spot next to good ol’ Croat Adrian Chiles. She does her bit for charity having water skied across the Channel for Sport Relief only last month. Bleakley achieved the feat in just over one hour and forty minutes. Not bad for a girl. Wonder if Chelsea laid on a spread for her.
So come this weekend as football teams up and down the country have their fates decided. Spare a thought for our lovely Christine Bleakley as she transcends into tears over Chiles departure to the bright graphics and white smiles of GMTV.
