Everton are really starting to build up ahead of steam in the Premier League, with a European place within touching distance.
The Toffees have one of the strongest squads in the top-flight of English football after a busy summer transfer window, so it comes as no surprise that they’re climbing their way up the table.
Although, Marco Silva is still yet to get the best out of a couple of his first team members, with a lack of contributions and quality performances continuing halt his side’s progress. And, if the players don’t seek improvements in the near future then they could be on their way out in January.
So, these TWO Everton players must start performing under Silva…
Theo Walcott was one of the standout performers towards the start of the current campaign for the Toffees, but he just hasn’t been able to provide key contributions in recent times. Indeed, the Englishman hasn’t scored since the 1st of September, with just one assist to his name from that date onwards.
So, the former Arsenal winger could soon find himself spending time on the substitutes’ bench if he doesn’t start improving, as the likes of Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted last time out.
The young central midfielder has been a part of the first team for a couple of seasons now but he still hasn’t been able to nail down a permanent place in the side. Indeed, the Englishman has started a number of games this season and has captained the side on three occasions, but consistency has been an issue for him.
Therefore, Tom Davies needs to start ensuring consistency if he wants to nail down a permanent place in the side under Marco Silva, as he faces competition from the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and Andre Gomes.
