Wantaway Manchester City star’s comments misunderstood?

toure.jpgThe Guardian may well be set to bring some good news to Manchester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

According to Yaya Toure, the media have simply stopped focusing on Luis Suarez and decided to focus on him, taking his comments out of context.

The Ivorian midfielder is under the impression that saying his agent was ‘hanging on the phone and knows what to do’ simply means that he wants to be wanted and has no dream to leave the champions of England.

Poor out of context, Bugatti-less Toure took the opportunity to set the record straight and claimed: “The media took what I said out of context.

“For the moment, there’s nothing planned,” Touré said. “Too many things have been said, that annoyed me.

“I want to take advantage of this opportunity to put things into context. It’s very important. I simply said that it was nice to be a player who is quite coveted, and it was an honour to play for PSG.”

Now as our punters note, they may have lost a fair bit of respect for Toure and we can hardly blame them, but it does not mean that City do not need to keep the prolific midfielder – they really do.

Is Yaya greedy or misunderstood? Is it time to get rid of the spoilt player? Let us know your thoughts below.
