The punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern love nothing more than seeing a spectacular solo goal, especially when it comes from a player linked with their club, meaning it’s been a good day for the Manchester United fans at the bar.
Recent reports have linked the Red Devils with a move for Fiorentina star Federico Bernardeschi as they struggle to land a deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Well, the former was in action at the U21 European Championships in Poland on Tuesday night and, whilst his Italian side succumbed to a 3-1 semi-final loss at the hands of favourites Spain, he did no harm to his hopes of a move to Old Trafford, bagging a stunning solo goal.
Take a look at the effort below…
The 23-year-old, who can play anywhere behind the striker, bagged 14 goals in all competitions last season and would supposedly set Jose Mourinho back £40m this summer, £10m less than Italian rivals Inter are asking for Perisic.
United fans, we want to hear from you! Do you think Bernardeschi would be a good alternative to Perisic? Should Mourinho just fork out the additional £10m to get his first target? Let us know in the comments…Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
