Premier League duo Watford and Southampton have entered the race to secure the services of Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu, who will become a free agent during the summer, according to a report in The Mirror.
The 26-year-old is expected to go to the European Championships with Wales at the end of the season, with no decision on his next club expected until his nation return from the tournament.
Robson-Kanu has declined the Royals’ negotiations of a new deal and now looks set to move on in pursuit of Premier League football, following 11 years at the Madejski Stadium where he has risen through the youth team ranks to become a regular in the first-team.
One Watford fan here in the Transfer Tavern has been content with his team’s maiden season in the top flight and he thinks that Robson-Kanu would be a decent addition to the squad on a free transfer.
A Southampton fan is playing pool in the Tavern and he has also overheard the news and believes that although Robson-Kanu is a decent player, he would rather the club went in for more attractive players who possesses more quality in the final third.
Southampton and Watford fans, would you welcome Robson-Kanu to the club? What can he offer that you don’t already have?
