Premier League champions Leicester City are set to bid a staggering £30 million for Watford striker Troy Deeney, according to The Telegraph.
The Hornets rejected a bid in the region of £25 million at the back end of last week and stated their valuation for the influential skipper, in an attempt to thwart the Foxes away from a move.
Claudio Ranieri is seemingly desperate to get his man however and a new bid is set to be lodged this week – much to the dismay of the Leicester City faithful here in the Transfer Tavern.
The 27-year-old is a solid performer and netted 13 goals in the Premier League last season but on Leicester fan who is stood in the beer garden remains unconvinced, stating that as champions the club should be scouring Europe trying to sign better quality players.
Another is chatting to the landlord and he is less negative, saying that he would like Deeney at the King Power Stadium, but isn’t convinced the club should be paying such a hefty amount for the privilege.
Leicester fans, would you welcome Deeney? Is he worth £30 million? Who else should the club sign?
