Many Watford fans have given their responses on Twitter to an interview with new signing Ismaila Sarr.
The Senegalese attacker spoke to the Premier League Productions and revealed what he can bring to the team – and it is clear he has no doubt in his own ability.
He said (via Watford’s club website): “It’s always been my dream since I was a child to join the Premier League in England.
“I think I bring everything. I can bring a lot to the whole team. It’s my team now. I can do a lot. I am fast, I can score. I can do everything for this team.”
The 21-year-old forward joined the Hornets from Rennes on transfer deadline day for a club record fee, rumoured to be around £30m, according to the Guardian.
The forward is a product from the Generation Foot academy in Senegal, which also produced Premier League sensation Sadio Mane.
He has already appeared 26 times for his nation and won the Coupe de France with Rennes.
Sarr opened up his Watford account on his full debut on Tuesday as they beat Coventry City 3-0 in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Now many fans are demanding that Sarr gets a start in the league versus Newcastle this weekend to try and give their season a boost.
Here are some of the responses from Watford fans on Twitter to Sarr’s words.
Bold, confident and encouraging from Mister Sarr. Now we need to bring Janmaat and Kabasele into the defensive ranks. Cholevas, Femenia and Dawson should be put on the bench. All three have been disappointing. #WatfordFC

Great. Now we just need Javi to grow a pair and drop Cathcart, Kiko, Dawson, Holebas, Doucoure & Hughes.

Definitely, I love his attitude. A man going far.

Yeah, so lets get him in and see what he can do, after all it took the entire length of the transfer window to sign him.
