Watford hoping to tie up Chelsea loan star on permanent deal

Nathan AkeWatford have enjoyed a pretty decent start to life back in the Premier League and they have surprised many people here in the Transfer Tavern with their performances this season.

With an FA Cup semi-final berth to look forward to, the Hornets are hopeful of finishing their maiden season back in the top flight on a high.

One man who has been in fine form this season is loan star Nathan Ake with the Chelsea loanee showing all the credentials to be a Premier League defender for years to come.

Our landlord has spotted some fantastic news for those of a Watford persuasion in today’s The Mirror, who are reporting that boss Quique Sanchez Flores is hoping to sign Ake on a permanent deal during the summer.

The Dutch defender has shown his versatility this season by featuring in the team at both left-back and centre-back and Chelsea are expected to do business on any bids in the region of £3 million.

One Chelsea fan is sat with his pals in the Tavern’s beer garden and he thinks losing Ake would be a mistake, stating that he still has something to offer to the Chelsea first-team.

Watford fans, would you welcome the permanent signing of Ake? Just how good as he been for the club this season?
