The Watford fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening are selecting some tunes and discussing reports their club have turned down a big money offer for one of their players.
According to reports in The Guardian the Premier League side have turned down an offer of £38 million from Shanghai SIPG for Odion Igahlo.
The free spending Chinese club were ready to part with the large fee as they saw him as the perfect foil for their new £46.1 million signing Hulk who signed terms earlier this week.
Hornets owner Giampaolo Pozzo turned down the bid as he wants to keep hold of his prized assets ahead of next season to give the club the best chance of bettering their mid table finish of last season.
Ighalo was hit at Watford last season and speculation surrounding his future has been rife after scoring 17 goals in 42 appearances for the Vicarage Road side last season.
As a result for his prolific form, the Nigerian marksman was touted as a potential target for the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Surely Watford should take the money and run?
