According to today’s print edition of The Sun, Watford and Swansea are looking at signing Nottingham Forest’s Ben Osborn in the near future.
The central midfielder is a local favourite at the City Ground but could be tempted to a move to the top flight, particularly with Forest not looking like threatening the play-off places any time soon.
Here in the Transfer Tavern the player has caused some real discussion between our resident Swans and Hornets fans.
Both believe he would be a decent young player to have in the centre of the park and would be more than happy to see him try and progress his career with their club.
One Watford fan here in the bar said: “I like the look of him. He’s quite young and has played regularly at a good level in the Championship. Of course, it’s not the Premier League but I think under our manager he could do a decent job.”
The two sides have had contrasting fortunes so far this season.
Whilst Watford have been relatively comfortable in the league Swansea are really fighting relegation and have only just won their first game under Bob Bradley, a 5-4 win over Crystal Palace.
