The Daily Star runs with quotes from manager Quique Sanchez Flores, who declared that Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo will not be sold under any circumstances.
The striker who turned down a £10 million move to Hebei China Fortune during the summer has turned his Watford career around under manager Quique Sanchez Flores has scored in each of his last four games for the club.
Ighalo’s form has impressed Sanchez Flores, who is adamant that the striker is not for sale. Talking about Ighalo in his weekly press conference, Sanchez Flores said:
“He had the chance to go out in the summer but decided to stay here and that was an amazing decision. When a player plays well the value changes to buy him. But we now think Ighalo is our most important player, he is very happy and can play in different positions.”
“I’m not scared about Ighalo. I’m happy with him and not thinking about what might happen in the winter market.”
Watford fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted with the news and are set for a night of celebrations here in the bar- which will reach new heights with a positive result against Arsenal tomorrow.
