Watford have had an excellent start to the season under new manager Marco Silva, and despite the loss at home to Stoke City yesterday, the Hornets can be confident of a top half finish if things continue as they are.
Silva has got his side playing some excellent stuff, and they look extremely organised, something which was hard to say about them last season under Walter Mazzari.
The summer signings have paid off, and in particular the signing of Richarlison looks a shrewd one, with the young Brazilian excelling thus far in a Watford shirt.
However, our landlord here at the Tavern has been keeping tabs on another Watford youngster, and he thinks the club would be wise to recall him from his loan spell with Spanish side Huesca. The player? Colombian starlet Juan Camilo Hernandez.
The youngster has already hit five goals this season, and given how Watford have faired with Richarlison in the side, there’s no reason to believe another South American youngster could have the same effect.
Hernandez has all the skill in the world, and his finishing is improving by the week as he impresses during his loan spell. However, while the spell will no doubt develop him as a player, there’s nothing better than playing Premier League football, and there’s no reason at all to think he won’t succeed in England.
If Marco Silva fancies chucking another youngster in at the deep end to reap the rewards, then Hernandez could be his man.
