Our Watford fans here in the Transfer Tavern are getting increasingly anxious at the moment so The Mirror’s report that they are in for Max Gradel is being welcomed.
The Hornets are once again looking set for a season of two distinct halves this time around.
After starting strongly last year and tailing off they are again seemingly set to ruin the first half of the seasons good work with a string of poor results and performances.
Something needs to be done, then, to arrest this slide before they are properly in the relegation battle and it appears they’re looking at Gradel as a potential part of the solution.
The winger has not been in the Bournemouth team this season thanks to injuries and the Cherries’ good form with the players that have played and so it appears a £3 million deal could be on the cards.
The former Leeds United man has plenty of potential just waiting to be realised and our landlord reckons if Walter Mazzarri can help unlock that the Hornets should be safe this year.
