Watford fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping this move doesn’t slip away from them as a rival club have offered £19 million for their midfield target.
According to Tuttosport via talkSPORT, the Hornets have fallen behind Schalke in the race for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.
The Bundesliga side have tabled a £19 million offer as it has become apparent the Gabon international is looking to leave the Serie A champions.
Lemina arrived at the Juventus Stadium permanently for £7 million after an initial loan spell in Italy when was under contract with Marseille.
Schalke are now waiting for a response from Juve and punters in the Tavern get a sense that this may push Watford into making a transfer bid for the midfielder.
