It had been a decent campaign for Watford down at Vicarage Road and the Hornets fans here in the pub were relatively happy with the season they saw this time out.
But that form wasn’t enough for Walter Mazzarri to keep his job, with the Pozzo family deciding that a change in personnel was needed to keep the club ticking over.
And the rumours regarding his successor have been spinning since he was dismissed and there’s one man that could be appointed before the week is out.
The man in question? Well, according to the Hertfordshire Mercury, it could be former Hull City manager Marco Silva, who left the Tigers following their relegation back to the Championship.
He became a popular figure at the KCOM Stadium in just four months in-charge and it looks set to be an announcement that would delight the Hornets fans here in the pub.
They want a young, exciting and positive manager to lead their side out next season and Marco Silva very much fits that bill.
Watford fans- would this be the right move? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
