Watford are once again having an inconsistent season which seems to have become the norm for them over the years, but they look to have enough in the tank to ensure a top half finish remains a real possibility.

The Hornets have some quality in the ranks in the likes of Roberto Pereyra and Will Hughes, and they are not averse to adding some big names to their squad out of nowhere.

Their manager Javi Gracia has done a steady job at Vicarage Road, and he will be keen to ensure progress continues to come their way, with the January window no doubt a big chance for the Watford manager to strengthen his ranks further.

And one man we here in the Tavern feel would be a superb and surprising addition is former Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian has fallen out of favour at Juventus and is no longer the regular he has been over the last couple of seasons, meaning a move might well be on the cards for the 30-year-old if the right club comes along.

Watford could well be that club too, with the Hornets always in the market for top international players.

Cuadrado is quality too, and it's not like he doesn't know the league owing to his time at Stamford Bridge.

While his time with Chelsea might not have been ideal, he is experience at the highest level and has played well in Italy for a while now, meaning he might just be the perfect addition for a club like Watford.
