‘Notting Hill Pizzeria MULBERRY STREET are celebrating this year’s World Cup by dishing up their latest creation… THE ROONEY. Named in honour of England’s top scorer Wayne Rooney, the talented team at MULBERRY STREET present their latest addition to the menu shaping the masterpiece to that of Rooney’s head, including toppings to reflect his customary cheeky smile.’
It takes a certain type of person to come up with an innovation such as this.
That person is a w*nker.
We passed this into the kitchen here at the Tavern. They, being a crack squad of highly trained and distinguished fine dining aficionados told me that my response was naive. This could be the future of top table tucker.
Here are their dishes to compliment the Mulberry’s.
Fabio Foccacia – Known locally as ‘Bonkers Bread’ 100% Italian, 100% incomprehensible
Ashley Cole Carbonara – Ingredients only available to over 18’s via MMS (Not suitable for vegetarians)
John Terry Ice Cream – a self indulgent sorbet delicately flavoured with bitter lemons
All washed down with an ice cold Gerrard Beer – a pale ale matured over a 15 year old period
