Wayne Rooney rules out Man United exit

Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has quashed any rumours of him leaving Old Trafford in the possible future. The England international had been subject with a move away with Spanish giants, FC Barcelona or Real Madrid hot on his trail.

The 24 year old striker has been on a rich vein of from this season scoring 19 goals in the Premier League most notably putting four past Hull City on Saturday, his performances have not gone unnoticed with Barcelona and Real Madrid looking to table a big bid. But Rooney has pledged his future to Manchester United, he told the Sun,

“I am a United player and I am very happy at Old Trafford”

With the debt hanging over United totalling £716million uncertainty was raised on whether United had to sell their top players to ease the financial problems. Rooney has eased the nerves of the United fans by insisting he wants to continue playing in the Premier League. He added,

“The title race is much tighter this year and it’s probably more exciting for the neutrals or fans around the country. We’ve won the League for the last three years and nobody has ever won four in a row. We want to create history.”

Wayne Rooney tops the Premier League scoring charts with 19 goals and has 4 assists.
