‘We need that boy back’ – Some Chelsea fans are loving former player’s World Cup form

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are keeping an eye on everything Chelsea-related during this summer’s World Cup.

The Blues haven’t had much to smile about over the last year or so, with Antonio Conte’s men struggling to make an impact in the Premier League after winning the title last summer.

Still, the World Cup has offered fresh reason for optimism. A handful of Chelsea players have impressed, with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eden Hazard doing well for England and Belgium respectively.

However, for every impressive Chelsea man, there have been a few former Blues who have been just as good.

Romelu Lukaku, for example, has enjoyed a stellar start to his campaign, whilst Kevin De Bruyne is also looking fantastic.

Another former Chelsea player that has done very well is Juan Cuadrado. Cuadrado never really got a chance in blue, but he’s impressed over in Italy with Juventus, and he’s continued that fine form into his World Cup run.

He scored for his native Columbia on Sunday, and his performance was otherwise very solid too.

Naturally, this has got a few Chelsea fans talking online, and it’s fair to say that some Chelsea supporters are loving what he’s doing – even if they are a little bit jealous.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
