The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are buys celebrating their side’s Champions League win against Man City. Though many were expecting it to be a close fixture, it was anything but – with the Reds ending the game as very good value for their 3-0 win.
It was a brilliant performance from so many of Liverpool’s starters, with a number individuals impressing.
However, as has often been the case over the last few months, Mohamed Salah was the star. The Egyptian scored once again for the Reds as he looked to assert his dominance over the Citizens.
Unsurprisingly, then, the fact that he was forced off through injury was a real concern.
BREAKING: Klopp on Salah injury: "He said to me after the game, all fine, all good. I hope that is the case."

Nonetheless, the Liverpool fans have been discussing the latest Salah update over on Twitter, and they appear to all be saying the same thing. Whilst it’s clearly positive news for the Reds, nobody wants to see him suffer a bigger issue, and so fans are calling for the Egyptian to be rested for the Merseyside derby this weekend. It’s certainly a pretty major request, though, given how crucial Salah is – particularly given that Klopp rarely likes to rest the Egyptian.
Clashes between Everton and Liverpool are often some of the biggest in the Premier League calender, but for Liverpool, this game is likely to take a back seat – and so resting him, from the perspective of our resident Reds, makes sense.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
Still rest him against Everton.

Probably because Matip felt fine after the last game as well – keep him until Tuesday and give Ings and Dom more game time
