‘We will love him as fans’ – West Ham fans react in delighted fashion to club’s Twitter post

Hammers here in the Tavern are in dreamland, after securing their first win under new boss David Moyes at the weekend.

After sacking Croatian Slaven Bilic, David Gold saw former Manchester United manager David Moyes as the suitable predecessor, much to the fans dismay having seen their new gaffer achieve an abysmal 18.6 win percentage in his last job in English football, that saw the relegation of Championship side Sunderland.

However, after bettering Louis Van Gaal’s record as United manager, fans were hopeful they’d see more of this.

At the weekend, West Ham welcomed defending champions Chelsea to the Olympic Stadium, in a game that many thought would be a convincing win for the Blues, however, Moyes used all his experience to set the Hammers up for an impressive defensive display after their early 6th minute goal, that saw Moyes achieve the first win of his tenure.

Having received their first win under their new boss, the West Ham Twitter account was still in dreamland on Sunday morning, as they posted a picture of David Moyes screaming out in relief after Saturday’s win.

With fans in high-spirits, here’s a look at exactly what they made of the club’s post.
