‘ We will surely catch Man City’ – Chelsea fans feeling very confident after club Twitter post

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted to see their side return to winning ways with a routine 3-1 victory over Huddersfield yesterday evening.

After a hugely disappointing blow in their bid to retain their Premier League crown against West Ham on Saturday, Chelsea travelled to The John Smith’s Stadium with a point to prove. And Antonio Conte’s side made no mistake in redeeming themselves for their most recent defeat, as goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro put The Blues into a commanding lead after just 50 minutes. David Wagner’s Terriers scored a consolation goal courtesy of a perfectly executed header from Laurent Depoitre in stoppage time to deprive Thibaut Courtois of a clean sheet.

Huddersfield have already made the headlines this season for their giant-killing performance against Manchester United in October, but in truth, they never looked like emulating their previous heroics yesterday evening.

In the aftermath of the midweek fixture, Chelsea’s official Twitter page posted a picture of their stars who looked delighted with the result.

The supporters were keen to switch the focus towards their upcoming fixture with Southampton and emphasised the importance of maintaining consistency until the end of the season.

And a small number of Chelsea fans have already turned their attention to the club’s hotly-anticipated Champions League fixture next February.

Here’s what the Chelsea fans had to say in response to the club post…
