‘Weak link’ – Tottenham fans weren’t impressed with one player after Liverpool draw

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern were relieved when their side managed to secure a draw against Liverpool on Sunday. A game full of drama and excitement, the Lilywhites looked on course for a loss after Mohamed Salah scored in the closing stages – only for Harry Kane to save the day, as he so often has this season.

In truth, Tottenham certainly deserved to get a point out of the game, with most of Mauricio Pochettino’s men putting in a good shift. However, one player has drawn the ire of the Tottenham fans after the game, and it’s easy to see why.

Though he has had a fantastic start to life in the Premier League, Davinson Sanchez looked poor against the Reds. Lacking confidence, stability and consistency at the back, he was mistake-prone from the outset and throughout, and it nearly cost Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Following the game, Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react, and it’s fair to say that Sanchez is taking the brunt of the criticism.

Identified as, alongside Eric Dier, one of the worst players on the pitch by a fair few fans, Sanchez clearly isn’t too popular in North London at the moment. Whilst supporters recognise his talent, some are fearing that he might need a few weeks off.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
