Wenger delivers positive injury update ahead of Stoke City clash

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty confident ahead of their side’s clash with Stoke City…

A couple of decent performances in recent weeks have reignited the passion amongst Arsenal supporters, leaving many desperate to see their side secure another win this weekend against Stoke City.

The chances of that happening appear far higher following confirmation from Arsene Wenger that defender Laurent Koscielny could be back in the fold. According to Shoot, Wenger said: “[Koscielny has] got a small chance, he was not far [for Southampton] he practised yesterday (Tuesday)”.

Having missed Arsenal’s clash with Southampton, the Frenchman’s return would be a huge boost, with his experience at the back absolutely vital as the Gunners look to fire themselves back into the top four.

The 31-year-old has been a near constant for Arsenal this season, having made 31 Premier League appearances, proving his worth in an otherwise disappointing defensive line.  That being said, our landlord thinks that Rob Holding has done fantastically in his absence, and so Arsene Wenger has a big decision on his hands if Koscielny is fit to start.
