Arsenal fans are hopeful of mega business this summer, after what’s been an ultimately disappointing campaign, and fortunately Arsene Wenger has his eyes on some exciting business.
The Daily Mail states Arsenal have been scouting AZ Alkmaar’s promising 15-year-old forward Myron Boadu for the past two-years and the Gunners are finally looking to push through a deal when the player turns 16.
Boadu looks set to leave Alkmaar this summer, but could remain in Holland as Ajax are also keen, though Arsenal are hoping to lure the teenager to the Premier League and want to add the talent to their already bolstering youth ranks.
Whilst Boadu won’t provide an immediate boost to Arsenal’s senior squad, there’s scope for him to make an impact in the coming years by following the likes of Hector Bellerin, Alex Iwobi and Jack Wilshere into the first-team picture.
The signing is also unlikely to impact any other major deals that Arsene Wenger has lined-up, which will appease concerned Arsenal supporters.
What area of the squad should be Arsenal’s focus this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
