Wenger plotting Arsenal overhaul as club consider move for 22-year-old, player wants move away

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern want big changes at the Emirates this summer, and it looks like Arsene Wenger is going to deliver on that front…

According to the Mirror, Arsene Wenger is planning an overhaul of his squad this summer – with 22-year-old midfielder Corentin Tolisso reportedly on his radar. It is said that a move of £30 million+ will be demanded by current club Lyon.

For the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, this report is certainly placing the Gunners on the right track – with Tolisso undoubtedly an impressive talent. A versatile midfielder and defender, he has been vital for his club this season – picking up 8 goals and 4 assists in the French top flight. Though he is able to play in a number of positions, he is most effective through the heart of the midfield – offering a fantastic combination of defence and attack.

That being said, our landlord thinks that a lot more work is going to be needed at the Emirates this summer if they want to turn the fortunes of the club around. A top four finish is almost out of the question this season, and so next year will be all about rebuilding for the club.
