The Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have had a lot to talk about over the last few weeks. From winning the FA Cup, to Arsene Wenger’s new contract and now into the summer window, it’s non-stop in north London.
A new name has entered the fray today as news reaches the bar that The Sun are reporting the Gunners have made a move for former Chelsea man Juan Cuadrado.
Wenger has supposedly had a £17.6m bid for the forward rejected by Juventus, however, the Champions League finalists would accept an approach of nearly double, £30m.
Since leaving Chelsea on loan three years ago, before agreeing a permanent move to Turin earlier this year, the 29-year-old has found his feet, but not a solid starting spot under Max Allegri and thus could be sold.
While it may seem easy for the Gunners to land a deal, should they fork out the fee, there is stiff competition from just across north London and their fierce rivals Tottenham.
Arsenal fans, what do you think, would Cuadrado be a good addition for Wenger? Spurs fans, would you be able to beat the Gunners to a deal? Let us know in the comments below…Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
