The West Bromwich Albion fans in the Transfer Tavern are still reeling after conceding a very late equaliser against Watford yesterday.
The Baggies lead by two goals to nil at home to Watford but Richarlison salvaged a point deep into stoppage time for the visitors.
However, today’s news could cheer them up as Tony Pulis reveals a piece of transfer news.
According to The Hertfordshire Mercury, West Brom manager Tony Pulis is refusing to rule out a move for Troy Deeney in the January transfer window.
As West Brom looked to bring in a new forward in the summer, Troy Deeney ranked very highly on Pulis’ wishlist.
With Watford bringing in Burnley’s Andre Gray, Deeney’s role this season has been more limited.
The former Walsall striker, who has been with Watford since 2010, could move on in January if he remains a back-up option.
The Watford skipper did start against West Brom though and Tony Pulis admits that circumstances might change which means that Deeney will not be available in January.
However, he refused to rule out making a move for the 29-year-old as the Baggies continue to strive for more firepower in the attacking regions to push up the table.
