West Bromwich Albion fans playing pool in The Transfer Tavern are not at all surprised that talks with on of their strikers over a new contract have stalled.
The Daily Mail has reported that talks over a new contract between striker Saido Berahino and the Premier League club have stalled, which has alerted Tottenham Hotspur that a deal may be in the offing come January.
Berahino’s future has been a hot topic of conversation since a failed move to Tottenham during the transfer window caused friction between the player and the owner. It led to Berahino saying he would never play for the side again whilst Jeremy Pearce remained in charge at the club.
But following talks with manager Tony Pulis, Berahino was brought back into the side, and the player has gone on to make 10 appearances, scoring on three occasions.
Berahino ,who can leave on a Bosman in the summer, looks as though he still views his future away from the club, and for that reason the club could look to cash in cone January.
The West Brom fans in The Transfer Tavern are fed up with Berahino and just want him to let the club know what he wants to do before it disrupts the rest of the squad.
Baggies fans, is it best to sell for a fee in January or keep hold of Berahino until the summer? Let us know in the comments below!
