West Bromwich Albion will be desperate to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League, but Leeds United and Norwich City are currently the teams to beat.
The Baggies could do with bringing in a couple of quality players to sure things up this month, with a number of areas requiring improvement at this moment in time. And, it appears as if that’s exactly what Darren Moore is looking to do, as according to the Daily Mail, West Brom have enquired about Victor Wanyama.
West Bromwich Albion have contacted Tottenham about Victor Wanyama.
Although, it’s understood that the Kenyan international has no intention of dropping down to the Championship, with a number of other clubs interested in securing his services.
Indeed, the Baggies are currently lacking any real quality in the middle of the park, so bringing in a central midfielder this month would really help their promotion push.
Victor Wanyama, who is valued at £22.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has struggled to work his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans in the current campaign, so a January exit seems inevitable.
Although, it appears as if the Baggies won’t be securing his services as Wanyama isn’t interested in dropping down to play in the Championship at this moment in time.
