The West Bromwich Albion fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking them with a move for a new striker.
The Express & Star is reporting that Midlands side are interested in taking Diafara Sakho from fellow Premier League side West Ham United this summer.
Sakho has informed the East London side that he wants to leave the club after becoming unsettled with speculation regarding incoming strikers which will put him further down the pecking order at the Olympic Stadium.
West Brom will face competition for Sakho’s signature though with Sunderland reportedly already offering West Ham £11 million to secure the strikers services at the Stadium Of Light for next season.
Sakho had a prolific first season at West Ham scoring 12 times in 26 appearances, but his second one was an injury interrupted campaign in which he managed to score 7 goals in 24 starts.
West Brom are in the market for a new striker who can play of Solinob Robdon next season especially with Victor Anichebe being released and Saido Berahino’s future at The Hawthorns in doubt.
