According to The Mirror, West Brom are looking into moving for Scott Hogan of Brentford with our resident Baggies here in the Transfer Tavern hoping he can carry on his form with their club if he moves.
The striker has, indeed, been in scintillating form this season for the west London side with 13 goals in 21 games so far this year.
Those displays have led him to be the Championship’s second-highest goalscorer and apparently, attracted interest from Tony Pulis’ men.
The Baggies have been one of the stories of the season so far as, whilst they’ve not ‘done a Leicester,’ they have been quietly impressive with them seventh in the league as things stand.
Players like Matt Phillips and Salomon Rondon have added some much needed creativity and flair to their team and now they look like a serious match for anyone on their day.
Our landlord believes they will need extra if they want to qualify for Europe this season, though, and reckons the signing of Hogan could prove to be a shrewd piece of business.
