West Bromwich Albion fans here in the Tavern are praying that their side can secure all three points later on today, as they continue to lean towards relegation to the Championship.
Sadly, the Baggies are heading for the Championship as only a miracle can save them from here on in, with many of our local residents fearing the worst as today’s game approaches. Although, supporters received some positive news prior to kick-off at St James’ Park, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, Daniel Sturridge is available and Nacer Chadli is also in contention.
Daniel Sturridge is now fit again after suffering from an injury for the past couple of months, and is available for today’s game after being ineligible against parent club Liverpool last weekend.
Also, Nacer Chadli is in contention to return from a long-term hip problem that has caused him all sorts of trouble, as the Baggies could welcome back two of their big guns for the all-important clash at St James’ Park.
The Baggies will be over the moon to be welcoming Daniel Sturridge back into the side following his injury, as the Englishman would be the one man that could help fire them to safety. Although, Nacer Chadli being in contention is also a huge boost for West Bromwich Albion, as the Belgian was instrumental prior to sustaining an injury.
