The West Bromwich Albion fans who are gathered around the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening discussing speculation that the club have a new striking addition on their radar.
According to reports in the Daily Mail the Premier League side are considering making an offer to acquire the services of Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston this summer.
The 23-year old spent time away from Los Rojiblancos on loan last season with Eibar, scoring18 goals in 36 games, following on from previous loan spells in the past at Deportivo and Zaragoza.
The prolific striker is said to have release clause of around £18m in his current deal at the Vicente Calderon, and it appears that Tony Pulis could be tempted to activate it should the club lose Saido Berahino.
With the club currently in talks with a Chinese consortium over the sale of the football club it remains to be seen if Pulis will get financial support from the current board or whether he will have to wait for a conclusion in the ongoing takeover.
Should West Brom cut their losses with Berahino?
