Reports in The Birmingham Mail suggest that West Brom boss Tony Pulis is looking to add Ignacio Camacho to his squad.
The player has been plagued by injury over recent seasons but is back playing again now and Pulis is set to send his scouts out to Spain to watch the hardened midfielder in action.
25-year-old Camacho began his career with Atletico Madrid before joining current club Malaga in 2011.
Although injury has curtailed him in recent seasons, the midfielder has a tigerish attitude that many managers would love to add to their squad and with Pulis feeling that his current midfield is less than aggressive enough Camacho would fit the mould.
Any move made for the player will not come cheap, as he has a £14 million release clause in his contract, but that would be a snip of a price for the midfielder who has made more than 140 appearances for Malaga since joining them in 2011.
Pulis is looking to have a chat with former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini whose opinion he sought when signing Rondon from the Spanish club, and should he give Camacho a glowing report.
Those West Brom fans in The Transfer Tavern would love to see a quality player like Camacho turn out for their club, and are urging Pulis to try and get this deal done in January.
